1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, and shared when you visit or use https://statfas.com/ ("StatFAS", "we", "us", or "our"), a free online platform for statistical analysis and data visualization. It applies to visitors and users of the website.
By using StatFAS, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the website. This policy is provided for information purposes. It does not guarantee that StatFAS meets every legal requirement in every jurisdiction.
2. Information We May Collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect or process the following categories of information:
- Account information: your email address and account identifiers when you register or log in.
- Dataset and analysis information: information processed when you upload datasets and request statistical analyses, including the files, variables, settings, and results involved (see Section 4 for important details).
- Usage and technical information: information about how the website is used and about your device, such as browser type, pages viewed, interactions, approximate location derived from technical data, and technical logs.
- Support information: information you choose to provide when you contact us, such as your email address and the content of your message.
Not all categories apply to every visitor. For example, you can browse and may be able to run analyses without creating an account, while an account may be needed for certain features such as downloading results.
3. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the statistical analysis and data visualization tools;
- create and authenticate accounts and manage logins;
- enable features such as result downloads;
- maintain the security and integrity of the website and help prevent misuse;
- understand how the website is used and improve its content, performance, and usability;
- respond to questions, feedback, and support requests; and
- comply with legal obligations where applicable.
4. Uploaded Datasets
Please avoid uploading confidential, personally identifiable, or sensitive research data unless you have the appropriate authorization, consent, and ethical or institutional approval to do so.
When you upload a dataset to run an analysis, the data is processed so that the requested statistics, tables, and plots can be produced. Depending on how a particular tool is built, this processing may take place in your browser, on a server, or both. We do not make any guarantee about how a given dataset is stored, transmitted, retained, deleted, protected, or who may have technical access to it. In particular, we do not promise that uploaded data is never stored, never transmitted, automatically deleted, encrypted, anonymous, or inaccessible to the website operator.
You remain responsible for the data you upload and for complying with any confidentiality agreements, data-protection rules, and ethics requirements that apply to it. If you work with sensitive data, de-identify or anonymize it before uploading, or use software that runs entirely within your own controlled environment.
5. Accounts and Authentication
StatFAS uses Supabase to provide account registration and login. When you create an account or log in, information such as your email address, authentication identifiers, and related account records may be processed by Supabase on our behalf. You may also be able to sign in with a third-party account, such as Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn. If you do, that provider may share limited account details (for example, your name, email address, and basic profile information) with us as part of the sign-in process, subject to that provider's own privacy policy.
We do not publish or disclose credentials, passwords, access tokens, API keys, or other internal security details. Please keep your login details confidential and let us know if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
7. Google Analytics
StatFAS uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-4PLD4LSK79) to understand how visitors use the website. Google Analytics may process information such as pages viewed, interactions with the site, device and browser information, approximate location, and online identifiers (for example, cookie identifiers). Google may process this information on our behalf and under its own terms and policies. We do not claim that IP addresses or other identifiers are never collected or that they are always anonymized, because this depends on how the service is configured and on Google's practices.

Consent for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland
Where required by law, including for visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we will use a consent management platform certified by Google to ask for your consent before cookies or similar technologies are used for personalized advertising or certain ad measurement, and we will provide a way for you to change or withdraw that consent at any time.
